JOB SUMMARY

NOV is actively recruiting an Quotation Specialist in Tulsa, OK, who will be responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company services as well as team members. The main role includes providing quotations to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quotation packages.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing reciprocating pumps proposals from customer inquiry specifications and for managing contract administration.
  • Analyzes customer inquiries for preparation of quotations including prioritizing and managing the following:
    • Due dates
    • Non-standard terms and conditions
    • Bid bonds
    • Performance guarantees
    • Export documentation
    • Application of products
    • Engineered packaging
    • Coordination of "buy-out" items
    • Completions of customer specification sheets
  • Finalizes product proposals with sales information such as features/benefits, literature, drawings, and performance data.
  • Assists sales manager in development of strategy for closing orders, determining equipment availability and project costs within sales policy margin guidelines.
  • Coordinates specialized applications with the Engineering Department when design or developmental engineering is required for quotations.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors of "buy-out" equipment, communicating technical capabilities and selling features.
  • Provides technical and marketing support to the worldwide distribution network, sales representatives, and distributors.
  • Coordinates departments on orders with non-standard terms and conditions, EQR requirements, export documentation and customer inspection needs; coordinates special contract requirements.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience with reciprocating pumps, considered an asset.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Constructive written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Excel, Word, and Adobe software.
  • Experience in JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
  • Ability to negotiate price and delivery with the customer.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
