JOB SUMMARY: Handles inbound/outbound calls from current and new customers/passengers in a professional manner, provides accurate information, and able to respond customers/passengers inquires via phone, and/or emails.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Have knowledge of the geographic area of City of Tulsa and surrounding areas including addresses and nearby streets.
Be familiar with MTTA policies, procedures, and practices.
Proficient in basic computer skills (Experience with Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred).
Able to communicate with customers/passengers via phone as well via emails. Be professional and courteous all times.
Educate and inform customers and passengers of the system operating parameters, transit services, and policies, and tools available to the public. including but not limited to where to find bus information, purchase bus passes, locate a bus, and plan a trip.
Provides bus route service information to customers/passengers. Suggests alternative ride options if system is at capacity.
Document customer complaints and provide solutions and other options.
Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
Answers all incoming calls in a timely manner.
Must repeat information back to the customer for accuracy purposes and make sure that all inquiries are correct.
Must always show a good attitude, and good appearance.
Will be required to work some scheduled holidays.
Other duties as deemed necessary or assigned by management.
Must report to work on a regular and timely basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge - High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Great verbal and written communication. Computer knowledge.
Mental Effort -Prioritize, and manage time effectively, multitask. Critical thinking and problem solving. Excellent knowledge retention.
Physical - Extensive sitting, standing, and walking. May be able to lift or push 15 to 24 lbs.
Audible/Visual Demands - Able follow directions given verbally; perform visual basic functions for satisfactory job performance.
Miscellaneous - Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required. Must be safety conscious and avoid accidents if possible. Ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters. Great attitude.
