Job Overview:

As a Cashier at [Dealership Name], you will be the friendly face that our customers encounter during their service visit. You will handle all aspects of payment processing, provide excellent customer service, and assist with various administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient service drive operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service:

    • Greet customers warmly as they arrive at the service drive.
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding service charges, payments, and general service information.
    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while handling all customer interactions.
  2. Payment Processing:

    • Accurately process transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and checks.
    • Issue receipts, refunds, and manage any discrepancies in transactions.
    • Handle financial documentation and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately.
  3. Administrative Support:

    • Update and maintain customer records, including service history and payment details.
    • Assist with scheduling follow-up service appointments as needed.
    • Collaborate with the service team to ensure that all service documents are correctly filed and processed.
  4. Service Drive Operations:

    • Assist in managing the flow of vehicles through the service drive, ensuring an orderly and efficient process.
    • Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and organizing service documents.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
  5. Problem Resolution:

    • Address and resolve any payment-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
    • Escalate complex issues to the Service Manager or other relevant personnel as necessary.
  6. Compliance and Security:

    • Follow all dealership policies and procedures regarding cash handling and financial transactions.
    • Ensure that all transactions are conducted in compliance with dealership standards and security protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred, ideally within an automotive dealership environment.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in using POS systems and basic office software.
    • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
    • Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive customer experience.
