SUMMARY:
The Pre-Weigh Associate is responsible for assembly of manufacturing kits to ship to Contract Manufacturers for conversion to finished products. This position handles various raw materials and components so is imperative to be detail oriented and to strictly adhere to established internal manufacturing protocols. This position is responsible for accurately measuring and weighing raw materials according to specified Bills of Material (BOMs) for formulas and recipes, ensuring the proper formulation and consistency of our products. The Pre-Weigh Associate will work closely with the Production Supervisor and other team members to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of materials for production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with supply planners, warehouse associates and inventory control teammates to systematically and physically obtain raw materials required for production kit assemblies.
- Accurately measure and weigh raw materials according to Bills of Materials (BOMs) for specified formulas and recipes.
- Follow internal material handling and manufacturing protocols to ensure consistent and high-quality production.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and other team members to coordinate the timely delivery of materials and meet production schedules.
- Ensure that all equipment and tools used for weighing and measuring are sanitary, calibrated and functioning properly.
- Forklift certification or ability to be trained to safely operate forklift equipment.
- Adhere to both EH&S and cGMP guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in the development and improvement of internal material handling and manufacturing protocols and procedures.
- Support the implementation of new processes and technologies to optimize efficiency and accuracy in pre-weigh operations.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to pre-weigh operations.
- Other duties as requested by business need.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and formulas accurately.
- Excellent mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and Contract Manufacturers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and cleanliness.
- Consistent and regular attendance is expected.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED FOR POSITION: - 1-3 years of experience working with Contract Manufacturers in a pre-weigh or related role.
- Familiarity with cosmetic or personal care product manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and quality control principles.
- Experience with inventory management systems or software

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to access products on the floor or low shelves; and may operate a hand truck, pallet jack and forklift to move materials.
The employee must occasionally lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place:
- Pallets from floor onto side, move up to 10 feet and return to original position with a weight up to 50 lbs.
- Cartons onto a cart to move materials within the fulfillment areas.
The employee must frequently lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place:
- Boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. from 5 inches off the ground up to 36 inches high and return to original position.
