Description

We are looking for a skilled Assembler/Stacker for our OEM core production. The ideal candidate will build cores by reading instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc., ensuring all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. The essential duties of this position requires that the employee uses his/her hands and hand tools to delicately build the cores with great precision. After assembly, an Assembler/Stacker will align, straighten, and press the cores in a fixture in preparation for braze oven treatment. Core assembly will be in a clean room environment requiring gloves. This job requires repetitive daily functions.

Responsibilities

• Uses a variety of basic hand tools
• Reads blueprints, work order sheets, assembly and schematic drawings
• Reads and comprehends instructions and follow standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Uses micrometer, caliper, tape measure, and other measuring devises
• Assembles and adjusts delicate piece parts to produce quality cores that meet all standards
• Examines parts and cores for any defects and report any defects to supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read or learn to read blueprints
• Mechanical ability, prior experience as assembler/stacker is a plus
• Must have high attention to detail
• Must be a team player since essential tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers
• Ability to work 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
• Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with or without accommodations
• Ability to stand for long periods of time as needed
• Ability to maintain high level of focus for long periods of time
• Must adhere to all rules and regulations of a FAA safety sensitive position
• Ability to pass pre-hire and ongoing, random drug testing as required as a Department of Transportation (DOT) facility regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
• Ability to pass pre-hire background check screening
