Position Summary:

Francis is looking for a Drafter who will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and technical plans for electric vehicle charging station installations. Working closely with internal teams, this role plays a vital part in bringing our charging networks from concept to reality.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings, site layouts, and construction plans using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
• Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to ensure designs meet technical specifications, safety standards, and permitting requirements
• Translate conceptual designs and sketches into clear, buildable construction documents
• Assist in developing standard drawing templates, symbols, and CAD libraries
• Perform revisions and updates to existing drawings based on feedback from engineers or permitting agencies
• Maintain organized records of all project drawings and ensure version control
• Coordinate with utility companies and municipalities to include necessary infrastructure requirements in designs
• Support permitting processes by producing documents required for plan submissions

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of drafting experience in civil, electrical, or construction-related fields
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting software
• Understanding of construction documents, site plans, and permitting processes
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with EV infrastructure or utility coordination is a plus
