Territory Sales Manager Italy: Control Rooms

Function

Due to our continued growth, Barco is expanding its worldwide sales organization. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record to join our sales team as Territory Manager for the Italian market, focusing on Rome and South Italy.

The purpose of this role is to prospect, identify, and develop control room solution-related opportunities in targeted markets and accounts. Build a network, develop & maintain relationships with partners, system integrators, end users & consultants to detect and influence opportunities early. Maintain relationships with partners and enable them to promote Barco solutions in their markets, alongside growing the partner base to optimize market potential with the Barco portfolio. You will interact with various local (large) system integrators, consultants, and end-users. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic, hard-working, tech-savvy, and self-motivated. Equally important is the willingness to contribute to and share in the success and fun of our ongoing growth.


Key responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with local partners, consultants, and end-users to maximize Barco's market presence.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on Control Rooms solutions and related technologies.
  • Manage processes for creating quotes, sales cycle management in CRM, developing & negotiating proposals and agreements, tracking opportunities, and providing regular forecasts, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to sales management, segment marketing, and product management.
  • Identify and introduce new customers and opportunities to local partners.
  • Grow business with existing customers, both directly and through partners.
  • Support opportunity conversion by assisting partners and customers through various sales stages.
  • Support growth in new markets and increase Barco's share of wallet by introducing solutions.
  • Participate in trade shows and regional events.
  • Translate customer needs into Barco solutions and offerings.
  • Provide regular forecasts, market insights, and competitive analyses.
  • Participate in training at Barco HQ in Belgium and deliver product training to local partners.
  • Be flexible for international travel based on business needs.
  • Adopt a disciplined and organized approach to travel, CRM pipeline management, and lead follow-up.
  • Work effectively across organizational and national boundaries in a matrix environment.


Candidate profile

  • A university degree (business, marketing, engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to combine technical and commercial skills with a focus on continuous learning.
  • Self-assured, outgoing personality with adaptability and reliability.
  • Proven success in technology and solution sales.
  • Strong commercial interest and understanding of the market.
  • Experience in selling solutions including software and services.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Native Italian speaker, fluent in English (spoken and written).
