RINA is currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Engineer to join its office in ROME within the Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division.

Mission

This role is ideal for someone with a deep passion for cybersecurity and a proven track record in identifying and mitigating system vulnerabilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform detailed Vulnerability Assessments to identify and address system weaknesses in both IT and OT environments.
  • Craft comprehensive reports documenting findings from vulnerability assessments.
  • Advise on best practices for application and infrastructure security enhancements.
  • Present identified vulnerabilities to clients, emphasizing the importance of security measures.
  • Analyze network devices, workstations, servers, and infrastructures from a security perspective, recommending optimal configurations.
  • Develop system hardening guidelines to strengthen security postures.
  • Support clients in implementing effective remediation strategies in Linux/Windows AD contexts.
  • Assist clients in addressing vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions.
  • Utilize top-tier cyber analysis tools (e.g., Tenable, Netskope, Splunk, SentinelOne, Fortinet, Cyberark) to support analysis efforts.

Education

Master's Degree in Computer Science or Cyber Security

Qualifications

  • Provide consultancy on network-related topics, such as segmentation and NAC, to enhance security architecture.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocol and networking.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows AD operating systems.
  • Experience in vulnerability management and classification.
  • Familiarity with leading cybersecurity tools (e.g., Tenable, Netskope, Splunk, SentinelOne, Fortinet, Cyberark).
  • Ability to develop system hardening guidelines.
  • Competence in security analysis and configuration of network devices, workstations, and servers.
  • Excellent communication skills to present vulnerabilities and advise clients on security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure, including cloud security.
  • Strong client orientation to understand and meet client needs and expectations.
  • Ability to foster trust and build relationships across departments and outside the organization.
  • Proactive attitude towards embracing change and continuous improvement.
