Job Profile Summary

The Staff Material Control Professional, working under general supervision, manages materials and planned maintenance activities within the organization. Responsibilities include optimizing material handling, tracking, and storage through inventory management best practices, maintaining accurate master data entries, and supporting master data management tools. The role aims to reduce costs, participate in change initiatives, build influential relationships, and propose solutions independently, fostering collaborative team efforts.

Job Description

Materials Management

  1. Enter all material movements within SAP, ensuring data accuracy.
  2. Develop understanding of materials management and planned maintenance, collaborating with stakeholders to identify critical items.
  3. Coordinate with operations and suppliers for return, repair, refurbishing, or disposal of materials, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  4. Communicate effectively, share knowledge, and identify opportunities for data quality and process improvements.
  5. Assess inventory management processes and stock levels; report on inventory metrics and optimize material handling and storage.
  6. Participate in or lead physical audits of inventory at company and third-party locations, ensuring accountability.
  7. Conduct routine obsolescence reviews to identify opportunities for surplus sales or other utilization efforts.
  8. Analyze supplier products and competitor strategies to inform strategic decisions.

Planned Maintenance (PM)

  1. Ensure SAP PM Asset registry is complete and accurate, adhering to data governance policies.
  2. Convert PM notifications to planned maintenance material transfers, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve data inconsistencies.
  3. Enter equipment movements in SAP, maintaining data accuracy throughout the equipment lifecycle.
  4. Coordinate with stakeholders on critical equipment affecting environmental compliance.
  5. Conduct data audits to identify and correct master data errors.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 3+ years in supply chain roles such as Material Requirement Planning, Inventory Management, or related; experience with SAP preferred.
