Job Details

Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, corporate servers, associated software, and communication links. This person will also troubleshoot network performance issues, analyze network traffic, and provide capacity planning solutions. Other duties or projects may be assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, install, and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.Identify, resolve, and document technical network issues.Provide guidance, training, and support for Senior Network Specialists, Tier I, and Tier II staff on network issues.Manage security solutions, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.Develop roadmaps for the network to ensure compatibility and interoperability.Recommend, schedule, and apply network equipment software patches, firmware updates, and other upgrades regularly, and maintain administrative tools and utilities.Complete project tasks within assigned timeframes.Generate periodic network reports for capacity planning.Research network products, services, protocols, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.Document LAN, WAN, and cloud network infrastructure.Practice network asset management, including maintaining network component inventories and related documentation and technical specifications.Assist in network and security audits.Perform network configuration backups and recovery.Position RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Certifications: CCNPExperience5-7 years of relevant work experience in networking.Technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 7, Server Operating Systems, Cisco IOS, and NX-OS.Hands-on experience with network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, MPLS, xDSL, TCP/IP, ATM, T1.Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools, including network analyzers/sniffers, Cisco Prime, and SolarWinds.Experience with client/server and operating systems like Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware.Experience working in switched and routed environments.Hardware, software, and network connection troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of current network hardware including Cisco Nexus, Cisco UCS, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Wireless LAN controllers, Cisco 6500 series switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, and related hardware.Skilled in installing and configuring hubs, switches, routers, bridges, etc.Knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.Note: Must obtain and maintain a Gaming License.#J-18808-Ljbffr
