Located at Hardesty Regional Library, responsible for Hardesty Regional Library, Bixby Library, Broken Arrow and South Broken Arrow Libraries, Glenpool Library and Peggy Helmerich Library

FLSA: Exempt

Starting Range: $6650.00/month

Apply to lead the South Region of TCCL locations, including management of Hardesty Regional Library, with oversight of Broken Arrow and South Broken Arrow Libraries, Peggy V. Helmerich Library, Glenpool Library, and Bixby Library. Hardesty Regional Library is beautiful as well as the second largest location and flagship of TCCL in south Tulsa County. It includes Connor's Cove, a very popular performance space especially for children's programming, and several large meeting room spaces. The South Region also has three of the top five libraries in circulation and summer reading program participation. The South Regional Manager is a member of CXT, our Customer Experience Team, which serves to ensure that TCCL is meeting customer needs, adhering to policy, creating safe spaces and managing our resources effectively.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: As a member of the Customer Experience Team, Regional Managers are responsible for the direct management of their assigned regional library location and the oversight, direction and execution of strategic plans for the other library locations/sections in their region as applicable.

Additional responsibilities include:
•Oversees budget development and ensures alignment with strategic goals and capacity;
•Responsible for ensuring the efficient management, day-to-day operations for assigned branches/departments in their region; coordinating with the Branch/Site or Department Managers to ensure effective development, promotion, implementation and assessment of all TCCL goals, programs, and services;
•Directs regular location and Region staff meetings and ensures open and timely communication to the whole staff;
•Prepares annual business plan, budget requests, and other required reports for location; and oversees these plans and requests for their Region.
•Tracks location metrics through the development of key performance indicators;
•Analyzes data and statistics to assess performance of locations in their Region, making data driven decision as necessary;
•Participates in system committees, takes part in professional associations, and keeps abreast of library trends;
•Works with other Regional Managers to plan workflows and systems to ensure Systemwide alignment;
•Represents, markets, and promotes the Tulsa City-County Library
•Actively supports TCCL's Be All In culture.

Education & Experience
•Master's degree in Library Science required;
•Ten or more years or more of library experience, preferably with increasing levels of responsibility;
•Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience required;
•Managers hired/promoted after 5/1/2022 must complete the appropriate TCCLU Leadership Academy Certification Program within 18 months of starting the position, unless already certified/enrolled.
•Or equivalent combination of technical training, education, and/or experience required.

Physical Activity & Environmental Conditions
•Work occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional light lifting, such as three or four reams of paper, four or five books, or other materials (up to 20 pounds) may be required.
•There are no major sources of discomfort; work is essentially conducted in a normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.
•Routine in-town travel with occasional out-of-town trips.
