Your opportunity
The CNC Programmer enhances material utilization and support company production goals through the daily implementation and continuous improvement of CNC machine programs. Meet schedule deadlines to ensure labor and machinery efficiencies.
What you'll be doing
- Provide daily programs for fabrication equipment (turret punch presses, press brakes, Robotic Cells, Copper cut and Bend and panel benders).
- Generate CNC programs and select raw material options to be used.
- Trouble shoot CNC programs to identify and fix program errors. Modifying nest status in ERP system.
- Ensure inventory is being used effectively.
- Adjust existing programs to accommodate product redesigns, tooling changes, and production changes.
- Participate on company teams focused on productivity, schedule attainment, and material utilization.
- Analyze material utilization and make improvements to the CNC programming to achieve desired improvements.
- Use ERP systems to review and adjust for changes in parts requirements.
- May identify raw material modifications to respond to changes in product or program changes.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during the CNC machining process, such as tool wear, machine malfunctions, or programming errors.
- Set up CNC machines and ensuring that they are properly calibrated and configured to produce the required parts.
- Ensure material utilization goals are met.
- Collaborate and communicate with materials specialist on inventory/materials shortages.
What you should have- Level I: 0-2 years of relevant work experience in CNC programming required.
- Level II: 2-4 years of relevant work experience in CNC programming required.
- High school or GED required.
- Turret Punch equipment experience preferred.
- Fanuc robot cell experience preferred.
- Copper processing experience preferred.
- Vocational/technical in Machine Tool Technology or a related field of study preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITSGreenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program. The starting base pay range for this position is $26.00-$35.00 hourly and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
