Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan repayment program. Duties
This is an open continuous announcement. Applications are accepted until September 30, 2025, or until all positions are filled. Applications are reviewed every 30 days. The earliest start date is October 5, 2025.
Major duties include collaborating with healthcare professionals, providing anesthesia services in various categories, developing anesthesia care plans, ensuring high-quality services, serving as a resource and educator, and providing anesthesia across three facilities: Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, Ernest Childers Outpatient Clinic, and James Mountain Inhofe VA Medical Center.
Additional responsibilities involve prescribing anesthesia orders, exemplifying VA core values, and potentially providing preoperative and postoperative orders depending on scope of practice and licensure.

Requirements

Applicants must have a master's or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program, hold current licensure and certification by NBCRNA or equivalent, and meet additional experience and skill requirements depending on the grade level (Nurse II or Nurse III). Physical requirements include lifting, standing, and exposure to clinical environments.
