LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant to join our client's growing team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will bring strong general ledger experience, deep knowledge of inventory and cost accounting, and a proactive mindset toward leveraging technology such as AI, Microsoft Copilot, and Power BI to streamline processes and improve financial insights.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accurate financial reporting, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The anticipated salary for this role is between $80,000-$110,000 a year.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries across multiple entities
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate trial balances
• Manage daily and monthly cash activity, including processing cash receipts and credit invoices
• Monitor and reconcile inventory from local suppliers
• Perform cost accounting functions, variance analysis, and support inventory-related reporting
• Oversee accounts receivable, including customer collections and credit limit management
• Support sales tax compliance by maintaining exemption certificates and issuing credits
• Assist with accounts payable, including processing checks, wires, and ACH transactions
• Utilize vendor portals for invoice submission and payment tracking
• Maintain and organize financial records across entities in accordance with retention policies
• Participate in the monthly 2-day close and year-end close processes
• Compile and analyze travel data for sustainability reporting
• Identify and recommend process improvements for increased efficiency
• Support the Controller with a variety of accounting and administrative functions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and financial reporting standards
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory and cost accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with Microsoft CoPilot and Power BI is a plus
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred: - CPA or CPA-eligible
- Experience with AI-based tools in a finance setting
- Prior experience with ERP systems and financial close software
