Angel Tree Worker

The Angel Tree Worker is responsible for setting up the Angel Tree booth at either Woodland Hills Mall or Promenade Mall and training volunteers to work there. The Angel Tree Worker is responsible to interview clients, handle personal information, enter applicants into computer software system and perform required duties required during Angel Tree registration process.

Administrative Support / Clerical (70%) Responsible to interview clients and handle personal information during registration process.

Assure all applicants information is entered into computer software system and perform required duties required during Angel Tree registration.

Train volunteers on Angel Tree procedures.

Keep a supply of Angel tags in booth.

Service Work (25%) Help set up and take down Angel Tree booth.

Each morning, open up mall Angel Tree booth and/or close it at night.

Be at Angel Tree booth when shifts change to greet volunteers.

Work at Angel Tree booth if volunteers do not show up for their shift.

Collect gifts from shoppers and put in toy box for shipment to warehouse.

Troubleshoot any problems at Angel Tree booth.

Other Responsibilities (5%) Performs other related work as required

Physical Requirements

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to exert the physical energy required in performing housekeeping/minor maintenance work.

Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.

Able to lift no more than 25 pounds

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a shopping mall/office setting where there is little or no physical discomfort.

One Floater will be on-call to fill-in for illness, schedule changes, vacancies, etc.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED AND two years of experience dealing with the public in a customer service-type position OR any equivalent demonstration of training or experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Ability to speak Spanish a definite plus.

Certifications/Licenses

Valid State Driver License
