Cosmetic R&D Lab Technician

Location: Sapulpa, Oklahoma
Department: Research & Development - Product Innovation
Reports To: VP R&D, Regulatory and Quality

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Cosmetic R&D Lab Technician to join our innovative product development team. In this role, you'll support formulation and testing of new skincare and cosmetic products, ensuring quality, consistency, and performance that meet our brand standards. You'll work closely with our chemists and cross-functional teams to prepare samples, assist with trials, and maintain a clean, efficient, and compliant laboratory environment.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and mix samples (compounding and extrusion) for formulation testing and customer trials.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, results, and sample batches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in both lab and manufacturing settings to support product development and scale-up.
  • Perform general lab housekeeping and equipment maintenance to ensure safety, quality, and reliability.
  • Operate support equipment for extrusion and compounding lines.
  • Routinely lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in varying temperature environments.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environment.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot formulation issues.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on industry trends and technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
  • Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Associate degree or higher in Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • Experience in a cosmetic, chemical, or polymer laboratory.
  • Hands-on experience with extrusion, molding, or compounding equipment.
  • Experience preparing or testing samples in a product development environment.
