Whats a typical day as a QC Inspector I?
Youll be:
Performing inspections using engineering drawings, work instructions, technical specs, and QA procedures.
Conducting preliminary, progressive, and final inspections on aircraft structures and systems.
Verifying functional operations, FOD checks, and documentation accuracy.
Witnessing, verifying, and documenting manufacturing process steps.
Performing conformity/first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures.
Ensuring proper use and storage of tools/equipment.
Promoting health, safety, and product safety by working safely and supporting risk reduction initiatives.
Supporting manufacturing teams with technical expertise and participating in continuous improvement activities.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
A High School Diploma or GED.
1 year of quality inspection experience OR 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience.
2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience (preferred).
Ability to complete a Formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days.
Working knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading/interpretation (CATIA preferred).
Competency in the use of basic shop tools and inspection equipment.
Additional Details
Must follow all safety and quality standards, including tool control and FOD prevention programs.
Work may involve area inspections to verify compliance with standards and procedures.
