The Phlebotomist functions as a laboratory professional who performs specimen collection techniques or specimen collection instructions that include; venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instruction and specimen culture collection instruction. Ensure specimens are obtained in accordance with laboratory guidelines. Follows proper protocols for specimen packaging and specimen transport. Responsible for specimen accessioning as assigned. Demonstrates proper infection control practices, proper patient identification, performs proper prompt specimen transport. Performs proper drug screen collection and processing as assigned. Provides phlebotomy services in a professional and patient-centered manner. Qualifications. Job Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent.
