Education
• Min: High School diploma, with relevant laboratory or work experience
• Preferred: Bachelors degree (Chemistry or related field preferred)

Experience
• Min: Entry level, but seeking evidence of maturity and suitability for role
• Preferred: 1-5 years in laboratory, warehouse, or refinery/industry environment

JD/Basic Function:
Member of the Technology (R&D) team, with responsibility for maintaining and operating the R&D sample receiving, shipping, and inventory area. Duties include preparing large (pail size) oil blends, maintaining product inventories and warehouse area, couriering samples to/from onsite lab, and coordinating FedEx shipping.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Tracking and maintaining inventory of products, packaging, supplies, and blend components
• Shipping of samples via Federal Express
• Courier delivery of material to and from the onsite laboratory via company vehicle
• Maintain the warehouse area keeping a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
• Coordinate sample preparation, packaging and shipping
• Maintain records of sample shipping and receiving
• Interface with laboratory, refinery staff, Customer Service, and the Technology team

Requirements:
• Lifting and working with 5 gallon pails (? 50 lbs). Moving pallets and drums with manual lifts. Reaching, bending, walking
• Computer literate, with ability to pull files from folders, communicate via email, and navigate FedEx website
• Ability to communicate effectively with refinery staff, laboratory, customer service, and Technology team
• Solid organization skills, with ability to maintain work area and keep thorough records
• Ability to drive a company vehicle (on site only)

EDUCATION LEVEL: A minimum of a high school diploma, with relevant laboratory or work experience. Preferred Bachelor's Degree of Science in Chemistry or related field.

WORK CONDITIONS: Office based with no travel required. Office is located in the warehouse area. Role will be required to walk and drive outdoors on refinery property. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, and out-of-doors environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, fumes or airborne particles, working in confined spaces and exposure to the risk of electrical shock. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job conditions require standing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted). Job conditions may require walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs, strenuous physical activity, and perceiving color differences.
