PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects and measures parts using precision measuring equipment to determine conformance to material specifications.
Prepare and maintain quality verification documentation.
Studies and interprets sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of parts to determine conformance requirements.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, sales, customers, compliance agencies and other shop personnel for quality and customer related issues.
Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, some college, technical school, or equivalent
3 years of experience or training in a similar role
Experience in a CNC machine shop is highly preferred
Up to three (3) years of experience in a heavy manufacturing shop environment, preferably in a process-oriented shop and/or related industry preferred
Experience with coordinate measuring tools considered an asset
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Preferred prior machine operator experience.
Working knowledge of industrial processes and traditional quality control methodologies.
Intermediate knowledge of computer software including, but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Intermediate problem-solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Good organizational and planning skills in order to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
