Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming and outgoing materials, supplies, and products to and from vendors. For the verification and maintenance of records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment of materials, supplies and products to and from internal and external customers and vendors to quality and productivity standards. Responsibilities:

• Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
• Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit. ? Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Business Administration, or related discipline. In lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience required.
• 0 - 2 years of related experience, experience in a full-service shipping environment preferred.
• Must have hands on experience with both domestic and international shipping.

Physical Demands:

• The role is mostly office-based but may spend some time standing and walking on the production floor.
• May be required to operate a computer and/or other office devices.
• Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing between 10 and 40 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Predominately in a stockroom or warehouse environment with frequent exposure to the production floor and engineering lab.
• While on the production floor or engineering lab, employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and may be required to put on precautionary, protective wear such as goggles.
• Some travel may be required.
