Job Summary

Provide administrative support for assigned programs within the School of Health Sciences.

Essential Duties

Serves as the primary point of contact for the School of Health Sciences main phone line, responding to inquiries from prospective students and the general public. Provides accurate information regarding program requirements, application procedures, deadlines, and other related topics. Ensures timely and professional communication while supporting the administrative functions of the department.

Manages and places supply orders for SOHS, ensuring that departmental needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Provides administrative support for assigned programs and the School of Health Sciences (SOHS), including mail operations, inventory control, record keeping, filing, and scanning.

Provides primary support to faculty and staff for travel arrangements related to professional development and clinical activities, including booking, documentation, and reimbursement processing.

Serves as the front desk receptionist for the School of Health Sciences (SOHS), handling incoming phone calls, responding to faculty and staff inquiries, and greeting and assisting visitors to the office.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED Degree.

One year as an administrative assistant in a higher educational or K-12 educational environment.

Effective spoken and written communication skills.

Ability to sit or stand at the workstation for extended periods.

Frequent use of hands for typing, filing, and handling documents.

Occasional lifting of supplies or boxes up to 25 pounds.

Ability to interact frequently with faculty, staff, students, and the public.

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent education. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
