Shipping & Transportation CoordinatorThe Shipping & Transportation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the distribution process at the plant level, ensuring the timely and cost-efficient delivery of inventory and finished goods. This position works closely with production and sales teams to coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring the accurate and on-time delivery of orders to customers.Job Responsibilities:Shipping Documentation: Process bills of lading, shipping documents, freight bills, and other relevant paperwork to ensure all shipments are documented correctlyShipping Office Management: Ensure the shipping office is fully stocked and organized, with all necessary supplies ordered and ready for daily operationsRoute Organization: Develop and organize shipping routes to optimize delivery times and reduce costsOutbound Shipment Coordination: Coordinate outbound shipments with sales and production personnel to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveriesCarrier & Customer Communication: Liaise with shippers, carriers, and customers to expedite deliveries, resolve any issues, and maintain strong business relationshipsTeam Communication: Communicate effectively with production and sales teams to ensure alignment on delivery schedules and inventory requirementsShipping Department Monitoring: Monitor and report on the productivity of the shipping department, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standardsLeadership Support: Step in as Traffic Manager or Shipping Supervisor when required, providing leadership and support in their absenceAdditional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the shipping and transportation functionsQualifications:Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentEducation: High School Diploma or GED.Experience: 1+ years in an administrative support role in a professional settingCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to different teamsAdministrative Skills: Knowledge of office procedures and systems such as file management, record keeping, and designing formsOrganizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detailEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
