Our professional team enjoys a clean, climate-controlled facility managed by experienced leaders who recognize the value of a job well done.We are currently seeking to expand our team with an individual who exhibits a safety-oriented mindset and focus on accuracy and efficiency.Summary of PositionThe Helper/Packager is responsible for operation of equipment used in the packaging of products at Peak Machining Group, Inc.Responsibilities and DutiesTypical duties and responsibilities expected of the Helper/Packager include:Safely drive forklift and operate crane to pull and move coils and skids within warehouse.Operate packing line conveyor to transfer coils from slitter to the banding station.Band and package material for shipping according to customer requirements.Assemble skids and other shipping containers as needed.Measure dimensions and gauge material with micrometer.Confirm material specifications on inventory tags for orders being shipped.Stage material for shipping according to bill of ladings.Generate inventory tags to be placed on material being received.Enter inventory tag data into computer system.Obtain appropriate signatures on bills of lading.Use precision when operating tools such as tape measures, micrometers, nibblers and calipers.Maintain shipping supplies.Keep immediate work area clean and organized throughout the day.Adhere to all company safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.Adhere to all company handbook policies and procedures.These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentComputer skills necessaryGood written and oral communication skillsGood reading and math skillsGood organizational, problem solving, and time management skillsAbility to measure using different toolsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept directionOperate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliersStrong work ethic; self-motivatedPreferred QualificationsOne or more years of warehouse packaging experiencePeak Machining Group offers a competitive benefits package that includes:401k with Company MatchHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceLong-term disabilityShort-term disabilityPaid Time OffPaid Holidays
