Job Summary: 3G Vessel Welder

The Welder is responsible for the setup and operation of advanced welding equipment, using their expertise to solve problems and eliminate scrap, rework, and downtime. The role requires ensuring that the appearance and quality of repairs meet high standards, and all work must be done according to specifications. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, a strong multi-tasker, and committed to meeting all quality standards.

Key Qualifications:

• Must be able to pass a 3G MIG/Fluxcore welding test.
• 2 years of welding experience REDQUIRED
• Basic safety training.
• Strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
• Understanding of volts and amps with the ability to adjust accordingly.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, weld symbols, and operate relevant tools.
• Basic data entry skills for maintenance breakdown calls.
• Ability to detect defects and follow quality policies and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan and detail working procedures.
2. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality assurance standards.
3. Safely operate advanced welding equipment.
4. Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust welding machines to ensure quality production.
5. Participate in planning improvements to increase safety, efficiency, and quality.
6. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
7. Maintain production standards by clocking into production jobs and meeting targets.
8. Coordinate and communicate effectively with all departments.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
