Job Title: Pre-Loader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable individual. The Pre-loader is responsible for preparing glass products for shipment and ensuring they are properly loaded, secured, and handled safely. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load Preparation: Efficiently prepare and load glass products into trucks or containers for delivery, ensuring proper placement and arrangement to prevent damage.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while handling glass materials, including the use of safety gear such as gloves and goggles.
  • Inspection: Inspect glass products for any visible defects, chips, or damage before loading and report any issues to the supervisor or quality control team.
  • Packaging and Securing: Assist in packaging glass products and securing them with proper supports, padding, or other materials to prevent damage during transport.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with keeping track of inventory and product quantities, ensuring that all required products are loaded and prepared for shipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse and production teams to meet loading schedules and deadlines.
  • Documentation: Assist with preparation of necessary shipping documents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of products being shipped.

Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and load heavy glass products (up to 50 lbs) safely and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control and the ability to identify defects or issues in glass products before they are loaded.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping environment is a plus.
  • Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety standards and procedures, especially for handling fragile materials.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively with team members, and report any issues or concerns.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Availability to work overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions if necessary (for outdoor loading).
