Job Title: Assembly Technician

Position Overview: The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting gas-related products, including systems, valves, compressors, and other related components. The role requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to follow engineering specifications, manuals, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and fit together components of gas systems and equipment, such as valves, pipes, compressors, and regulators.
  • Perform necessary tests and calibrations to ensure gas systems meet performance standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct inspections of materials and completed assemblies to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and resolve assembly or functional issues, including minor repairs and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly work, test results, and any issues encountered during assembly.
  • Assist in maintaining and calibrating tools, machines, and test equipment used in the assembly process.
  • Work closely with engineers and other team members to review blueprints, technical documents, and assembly instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and practices while handling tools, machinery, and potentially hazardous materials related to gas systems.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to assembly processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors or defects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Understanding of mechanical assembly processes, electrical systems, and gas safety standards.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and quality during the assembly process.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and apply solutions quickly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly instructions.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to working with gas systems, tools, and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A certification in a relevant technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial systems).
  • Previous experience working in a gas equipment assembly, engineering, or related technical role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy components and equipment.
  • Comfortable working in varying physical conditions (e.g., standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods).
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow safety procedures closely.

Work Environment:

  • The position is typically performed in a workshop or manufacturing setting, requiring adherence to safety standards.
  • Protective equipment, such as gloves, goggles, and hearing protection, may be required when assembling or testing equipment.
