Job Title: Subarc Operator

Job Summary: The Subarc Operator will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on pressure vessels and heat exchanger components. The position requires a skilled welder with experience in various thermal welding processes, such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAW, to meet precise specifications and ensure product quality. The operator will be expected to work efficiently with minimal supervision, maintain safety standards, and contribute to the achievement of company goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum of 3 years` experience in welding pressure vessels or heat exchanger components.
• Moderate knowledge and experience with various welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAW
• Ability to weld within the parameters of a WPS/PQR (Welding Procedure Specification / Procedure Qualification Record).
• Ability to pass a weld qualification test to acquire a code stamp.
• Skilled in thermal processes associated with the manufacturing of pressure vessels and heat exchanger
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to ensure both dimensional and specification accuracy.
• Expertise in performing the arc gouging process effectively
• Ability to make necessary repairs, including X-Ray and UT (Ultrasonic Testing) repairs, while ensuring minimal defects.
• Consistently maintain a less than 5% X-ray repair rate.
• Ability to identify sub-standard welds and take corrective action to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision, managing time effectively to complete tasks on schedule.
• Capable of being a self-starter with a high degree of productivity and focus on delivering quality results.
• Ability to work as a team player, collaborating effectively with others to achieve company goals and improve operational efficiency.
• Punctual, reliable, and flexible to meet work demands, including the willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the company`s success and take pride in personal work contributions.
• A highly safety-conscious individual, committed to maintaining a safe working environment and following established safety protocols at all times.

Shifts Available: Day Shift (6am-6pm), Night Shift (6pm-6am)

Pay Range: $21-$28/hr
