Job Profile: CNC Drill Operator

Position Summary: The CNC Drill Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC drills and machines in a manufacturing environment. This role requires expertise in reading prints and specifications, measuring parts accurately, operating various machinery (including cranes, forklifts, and grinders), and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The operator will perform tasks such as loading machines with parts, cutting supports, and removing slag, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving when necessary.

Essential Functions:

• Set up and operate CNC drills and machines according to technical specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine the necessary specifications and dimensions for parts.
• Accurately measure parts using a variety of measuring tools such as tape measures, dial calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers.
• Use grinders to remove slag from parts to ensure quality and proper fit.
• Operate overhead cranes daily to load parts into machines.
• Cut supports to the required lengths using a hot saw.
• Occasionally operate forklifts to move materials and equipment around the shop floor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating CNC drills and 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to identify and resolve operational issues effectively.
• Ability to learn and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Willingness to work overtime as required to meet production deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in high noise environments, at heights, in confined spaces, and on congested work sites

Shifts Available: Day Shift (6am-6pm) Night Shift (6pm-6am)

Pay Range: $18-$25
